Low Voltage Rescue Course

The Low Voltage Rescue course will give you the skills to be able to conduct a Low Voltage Rescue of a victim and carry out CPR as well as provide initial treatment for burns.

Under Queensland legislation this course must be completed every six months.

Dress Requirements
Dress and enclosed footwear appropriate to the industry that you work in.

Prerequisites
English, reading, writing and comprehension skills. Ability to use and analyse simple data, relation and pattern, number, measurement and shape.

Assessment
Assessment is based on competency, which is the ability to perform specific skills, and a combination of observation, discussion, written assignments, tests, examinations and practical application projects. Students are required to attend tests and examinations as scheduled by BETA College.

Course Unit
There is only one unit for the course and it covers the relevant legislation, risk assessment, job planning, resuscitation (industry standard), CPR and practical exercise.
