Certificate IV in Recordkeeping

The Certificate IV in Recordkeeping is for people who apply well-developed recordkeeping skills and a broad knowledge base in a wide variety of contexts. They apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources.

They may provide leadership and guidance to others with some limited responsibility for the output of others.

Dress Requirements
Business attire appropriate to the business sector.

Prerequisites
English, reading, writing and comprehension skills. Ability to use and analyse simple data, relation and pattern, number, measurement and shape.

Ability to participate in small and informal groups within a virtual enterprise environment.

Assessment
This is based on a student's ability to perform specific skills and a combination of observation, discussion, written assignments, tests, examinations and practical application projects.

Students are required to attend tests and examinations as scheduled by BETA College.

Course Units
There are four core units as well as six electives that must be completed.

At least two of the elective units must be selected from the elective units listed below or from an equivalent level qualification within the BSB07 Business Services Training Package.

The remaining 4 elective units may be selected from the elective units listed below, the BSB07 Business Services Training Package or any other currently endorsed national Training Package. If not listed below, 1 unit may be selected from either a Certificate III or Diploma qualification.

Elective units must be relevant to the work outcome, local industry requirements and the qualification level.

Units selected from other Training Packages must not duplicate units selected from or available within the BSB07 Business Services Training Package.
